Abstract
|
|
|
Neonatal duodenal obstruction is relatively rare anomaly, and its treatment is varied with varient etiologic factors.
This report consists of 2 cases of neonatal duodenal obstruction treated at the Chonnam National University Hospital recently.
One case was duodenal atresia treated with side to side duodeno-jejunostomy, the other was malrotation of the midgut treated in gastrojejunostomy with enterolysis,
These patients were discharged with relatively good condition.
A review of the literature is also made on the etiology with embryologic study, diagnosis, treatment and the prognosis of the subject.
